Links Are Gold of The Internet

It is said that in the world of Internet marketing, content is king. While there is no doubt that strong copy and valuable information is what ultimately determines whether your site will be a profit machine or a money pit.

But, in order to make the buyer willing to part with their hard earned money should find its place.

There are traditional methods that include text link advertising, banners, “sponsors”, and directory listings. While that is just the tip of the iceberg of possible approaches to the Internet, all are destined to do one thing:

Send a player to your site.

Now, the current world number one search engine, Google, has a system that favors these links. To see this in action, go to and type the following word: miserable failure

For those not willing to test it yourself, number one search results page is the biography of the current United States President, George W. Bush.

Obvioulsy, the White House has not participated in a SEM campaign to target that phrase to lead to that page. But what it does clearly show is how Google.

These are links.

In short, there are more Internet links knows that the word “miserable failure” and click on the text that point to that page. Do not let the idea that SEO / SEM is as simple as that, but in a case where there is a phrase that nobody wants to sort on, it is very easy to manipulate Google’s rankings.

Given that the demonstration, the goal of every webmaster should be to get text links pointing to your site with any keyword phrase you are looking actively.

Although it takes more than just “out of connection” to the online competition, is a decisive advantage to get your site as many links as possible – and take your money to the bank.
